Trade between Turkmenistan and Türkiye reached $2.2 billion in 2025, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said Tuesday during the exhibition of export goods from Türkiye in Ashgabat.

Bolat, together with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev, opened the 12th exhibition of export goods from Türkiye, the minister said on social media.

He said intensifying bilateral cooperation strengthens economic and trade ties between the two countries, making them more dynamic and multi-layered.

Ömer Bolat emphasized that the main goal of bilateral trade is to reach $5 billion, as set by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and that work toward this target continues.

He added that the exhibition features 87 stands of Turkish companies and expressed confidence that such active cooperation will further strengthen economic links between the nations.

The exhibition, held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, will run through Feb. 12.
