Turkish companies have completed 1,098 projects in Turkmenistan valued at $56 billion, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said Tuesday following a meeting with representatives of Turkish business groups operating in the country.
The meeting was held in Ashgabat with the support of Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok. Officials noted steady growth in cooperation and the signing of new contracts by Turkish companies.
Turkish businesses have participated in major infrastructure projects, including power plants and transmission lines, highways, residential complexes and shopping centers, universities and schools, public buildings, hotels, industrial facilities, museums, parks, and medical institutions.
Bolat visited Turkmenistan to attend an exhibition of Turkish export products in Ashgabat.
