Turkmenistan Appoints New Vice-Premiers for Transport and Education

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday appointed new Vice-premiers overseeing the transport and communications sector and the social sphere during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

Batyr Annayev was appointed deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers responsible for the transport and communications complex. He replaced Mammethan Chakyyev, who previously oversaw the sector, according to the state news program Watan habarlary.

At the same meeting, Berdimuhamedov signed an order dismissing Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva as deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of science, education and health care. Batyr Mammedov, formerly rector of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, was appointed to the vacant post.

During the meeting, the president also replaced the deputy prime minister overseeing the fuel and energy complex, reshuffled several ministers and district heads, and established a new Ministry of Automobile Roads of Turkmenistan.

The Cabinet meeting reviewed the government’s performance results for 2025.
