Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday appointed Resul Myradov as chairman of the state concern Türkmenhimiýa during an expanded Cabinet of Ministers meeting, according to the Watan habarlary news program.
Myradov was relieved of his duties as deputy minister of industry and construction and assumed his new position immediately. The new chairman expressed gratitude to the President for the trust placed in him and said he intends to work diligently and responsibly with the concern’s team for the benefit of the industry.
At the same meeting, President Berdimuhamedov dismissed Batyr Amanov from the post of deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for fuel and energy complex issues. Guvanch Agajanov, chairman of the state concern Türkmennebit, was appointed to the position while continuing to lead Türkmennebit.
The expanded Cabinet session reviewed the country’s performance in 2025, heard reports from deputy chairmen of the Cabinet, heads of ministries, and provincial governors, and discussed priority tasks for the country’s socio-economic development in 2026, as well as appointments and dismissals of officials.
