The UAE’s private sector is seeking new investment opportunities and strategic partnerships with friendly countries, including Turkmenistan.

The issue was discussed during a meeting between Turkmenistan’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Bayram Bayramov, and Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Humaid Mohammed Ben Salem, secretary-general of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The sides discussed the development of economic and investment cooperation and reviewed investment opportunities in the UAE and Turkmenistan, according to Al Khaleej.

Al Owais said improvements in the investment climate in both countries are creating additional opportunities to boost trade turnover and implement joint projects.

Bayramov highlighted the interest of Turkmenistan’s business community, represented by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, in expanding and deepening trade and investment cooperation with the United Arab Emirates. He also confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to coordinate cooperation with the Federation of UAE Chambers and the Sharjah Chamber.

The ambassador invited the UAE business community to invest in promising sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy, noting that relevant authorities are prepared to provide the necessary conditions and support for investors.
