Officials from Turkmenistan’s state concerns Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit met with Viktor Nikitin, business development director of BASF Intertrade AG, part of the BASF Group, to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, Turkmenistan’s official media reported Monday.

The sides confirmed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial collaboration and expressed strong interest in deepening ties in the oil and gas sector.

Participants reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements, the current status of joint work, and prospects for developing contacts in areas of mutual interest. They exchanged proposals and expressed confidence that follow-up efforts would support the realization of planned initiatives in the near term.

BASF is actively involved in regional projects in Turkmenistan. For example, the company’s gas purification equipment was selected for a new petrochemical complex in Gyyanly. The company can also provide technical support and consulting services as needed. During the meeting, both sides discussed in detail the further development of cooperation in this area.
