The next meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States Council of Heads of Government will be held May 22 in Ashgabat.
The announcement was made by CIS Deputy Secretary-General Igor Petrishenko during a meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Representatives in Minsk, according to BelTA.
The proposed agenda includes 11 items covering economic cooperation, congress and exhibition activities, the development of transport corridors and digitalization. The council is also expected to consider granting Minsk the status of CIS Cultural Capital for 2027 and Karaganda for 2028.
The meeting will be held as part of Turkmenistan’s chairmanship of the CIS.
