Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov took part in a meeting of Central Asian foreign ministers with Lord Vernon Coaker on Feb. 25, 2026, according to Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.
The sides discussed regional security issues, strengthening mutual understanding and developing dialogue between Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom.
Special attention was given to the exchange of experience in professional training, as well as improving mechanisms for responding to contemporary challenges and threats.
Participants emphasized the importance of maintaining constructive, trust-based engagement aimed at strengthening stability and security at the regional and international levels.
Later the same day, Meredov also took part in a meeting of Central Asian foreign ministers with Lindsay Hoyle, speaker of the U.K. House of Commons.
