Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Belgium Sapar Palvanov took part in the launch of the first session of The Talk expert series in Brussels. The event was organized by the Norm platform in cooperation with Diplomatic World, with the support of Cardo Brussels. Heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of European institutions and business circles attended the discussion.
The talks focused on digitalization, the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the need to adapt national legislation to the pace of technological change. Participants also discussed data protection, building trust in the digital environment and developing balanced regulatory frameworks for the safe use of new technologies, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels.
The Turkmen side highlighted ongoing modernization of the regulatory framework for digital technologies, the development of e-government services and readiness to apply advanced international practices. Turkmenistan reaffirmed interest in expanding cooperation with European partners in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Later the same day, Palvanov, together with ambassadors from Central Asian countries and Mongolia, met with Belgian Member of the European Parliament Pascal Arimont.
