The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan met Feb. 27, 2026, in Ashgabat with a delegation led by Mullah Faizullah Tamim, director general of Afghanistan’s Department of Standards and Quality. The sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in standardization, certification and product quality assurance.
According to the chamber, the meeting included an exchange of views on key areas for developing trade and economic relations.
Both sides underscored the importance of meeting quality requirements to increase bilateral trade.
The meeting was described as an important step toward further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
