Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday emphasized the need to ensure the orderly organization of events to confer the honorary title Ene mähri on mothers with many children and to present them with keys to new apartments.
According to Turkmenistan’s state media, the head of state said the work of mothers enhances the country’s prestige and that respect for large families in Turkmenistan is exceptionally high.
The report said a series of events will be held in the country’s regions, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, in connection with the upcoming holiday. A ceremonial song-and-music conference and the exhibition Ene hüwdüsi – iň kämil eser will take place at the Center of Public Organizations. The State Museum of the State Cultural Center will host a conference and exhibition titled Ogulabat ejäniň el hünäri türkmen zenanlarynyň görelde mekdebidir, while the Museum of Fine Arts will stage the exhibition Şekillendiriş sungatynda zenan waspy.
Earlier this month, Berdimuhamedov signed an order providing cash gifts in honor of International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8.
