An exhibition marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and an international forum titled Investing in Turkmenistan’s Future will be held in Ashgabat. Preparations for the events were reported by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev at a regular Cabinet meeting on Friday.
According to Turkmenistan’s state media, about 70 foreign companies and international organizations have so far registered to take part in the events, with the registration process continuing.
The deputy prime minister said Turkmenistan will be represented at the forum by officials from relevant ministries and sectoral agencies, as well as members of the union. A related proposal was submitted to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The head of state noted that significant attention is being paid to the development of the private sector and the improvement of entrepreneurial activity.
Berdimuhamedov instructed the deputy prime minister to ensure a high standard in organizing both the exhibition marking the union’s 18th anniversary and the international forum Investing in Turkmenistan’s Future.
The Cabinet meeting also reviewed a number of other issues of state importance, with relevant decisions adopted.
