President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended congratulations to António José Seguro on assuming the office of President of the Portugal, according to official media reports in Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
The head of state also wished President António José Seguro good health, well-being and success in activities aimed at the further development and prosperity of Portugal.
On March 9, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Portugal, with residence in Paris, Maksat Charyyev took part in the official inauguration ceremony of the newly elected president.
During an official reception held at the Ajuda National Palace in Lisbon, President António José Seguro, in a brief conversation with Ambassador Maksat Charyyev, expressed interest in visiting Turkmenistan in the future.
