Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree to send humanitarian aid to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran — primarily children — as a sign of friendship and brotherly relations. The assistance will include medicines, medical supplies and other goods.
According to the Watan habarlary news program on Friday, the humanitarian cargo will be sent on behalf of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The document was adopted in line with the ancient traditions of the Turkmen people based on principles of friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual support, as well as in honor of the month of Ramadan and the sacred Night of Power — Laylat al-Qadr.
Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also signed a decree pardoning convicted citizens in honor of Laylat al-Qadr.
