President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree at a regular Cabinet of Ministers session on Friday ordering a nationwide tree-planting campaign to be held on March 21, 2026, according to Turkmenistan's official state media.
The document aims to support the creation of forest zones, improve environmental conditions and ensure proper care of newly planted saplings.
Ministries, sectoral agencies and local administrations in the regions, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, were instructed to ensure the campaign is organized at a high level.
The session also addressed a number of other important matters of state, on which corresponding decisions were taken.
