Turkmenistan’s Minister of Roads Hangeldi Kerimov met with Ravshanbek Alimov, the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, to discuss current issues of bilateral cooperation in road construction.
According to Dunyo News Agency, the sides also reviewed the development of transport and transit corridors between the two countries.
Participants in the talks paid particular attention to the use of advanced technologies in the road sector, the digital management of infrastructure projects, the design of bridges and transport facilities, and the exchange of experience in other areas of mutual interest.
The interlocutors noted that the construction and commissioning of the Ashgabat–Turkmenabat Expressway will contribute to the growth of trade and cargo transportation between the two countries, as well as to the development of international transit routes.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to expand practical cooperation, including through the organization of reciprocal visits, expert working meetings, and the implementation of joint projects.
