The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia took part in the International Nowruz Day celebration on March 17, 2026, held in the historic Abanotubani district of Tbilisi, according to the embassy.
The event, supported by the city municipality, brought together diplomatic missions from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Türkiye, as well as diasporas and cultural centers.

At the Turkmen cultural pavilion, designed in a traditional national style, visitors explored the country’s rich heritage. Exhibits included books by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, traditional costumes, jewelry, handmade carpets, paintings, and souvenirs.
The display also featured national dishes and sweets, along with a dedicated stand highlighting the 2026 motto: “Independent neutral Turkmenistan is the homeland of purposeful winged horses.”
Nowruz was noted as an important part of the cultural life of Eastern peoples, symbolizing renewal, generational continuity, and the strengthening of friendship, peace, and mutual trust among nations.
The celebration concluded with a concert of national music and dance, creating a festive spring atmosphere for attendees.
