Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday thanked Turkmenistan for providing humanitarian assistance during a phone call with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, emphasizing the importance of the gesture as a sign of goodwill and humanitarian support.
According to Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry, the aid was sent to children in Iran on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
At the start of the conversation, the sides exchanged congratulations on the Novruz holiday and wished prosperity and well-being to the peoples of both countries.
In mid-March, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to send humanitarian aid to the people of Iran, primarily children. The shipment included medicines, medical supplies and other goods, reflecting friendly and brotherly relations between the two nations.
