Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of the Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Atagulyyev, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday in Tbilisi, according to Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.
During the talks, the sides reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations. The Georgian side noted that relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level, with regular high-level visits playing an important role in further strengthening intergovernmental ties.
Trade and economic cooperation featured prominently on the agenda, along with prospects for collaboration in agriculture and tourism.
The leaders also discussed regional issues. They highly appreciated Turkmenistan’s efforts to maintain peace and stability in Central Asia, describing the country’s ongoing policy as an important condition for the region’s sustainable development.
