Turkmenistan will take part in the Kazan Halal Market exhibition, scheduled for May 12–17 in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, as part of the 17th International Economic Forum Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum. The announcement was made by Taliya Minullina, head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Tatar-inform reported Monday.
Kazan Halal Market is an international trade fair featuring food products, cosmetics, clothing, accessories and household goods. Participation requires a halal certificate for all products.
Last year, the exhibition brought together more than 150 companies from Russia, as well as manufacturers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Iran, India and Senegal.
Turkmenistan, Russia and Afghanistan also plan to sign a trilateral agreement on the creation of a new transit corridor on the sidelines of the Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum.
