National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived Wednesday in Austria on an official visit.
Officials saw off Berdimuhamedov at Ashgabat International Airport, the Watan habarlary news program reported.
Austria consistently supports Turkmenistan’s international initiatives aimed at strengthening global security, ensuring energy sustainability and developing transport corridors, according to the report. The country recognizes Turkmenistan’s role as an important factor of stability in Central Asia.
At Vienna International Airport, Berdimuhamedov was welcomed by officials from Austria and Turkmenistan.
The visit is ongoing.
