National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday met with Neda Berger, head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, during a visit to Austria, the Watan habarlary news program reported.
Berger expressed gratitude for the meeting and said the visit would mark an important step in strengthening bilateral relations.
Berdimuhamedov thanked her for the warm remarks and noted that Berger’s work as head of the society contributes significantly to the development of friendly ties between the two countries.
The sides highlighted the steady expansion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Particular attention was given to the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra Galkynyş, established with Berdimuhamedov’s support. Berger said the ensemble serves as a unique cultural bridge between East and West.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of best wishes.
