Turkmenistan to Host Final of International “Tatar Kyzy” Contest

Turkmenistan will host the final stage of the international “Tatar Kyzy” contest in October 2026, following talks held Wednesday between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaykhraziyev.

According to Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry, the sides highlighted the significance of the contest as an important cultural and humanitarian platform that promotes the preservation of national traditions, spiritual values and intercultural dialogue.

The Turkmen side confirmed its readiness to ensure a high organizational level for the upcoming event and to create the necessary conditions for its successful staging.

The sides also discussed current issues of Turkmen-Tatar cooperation and prospects for further development of interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

At the end of the meeting, participants expressed confidence that effective cooperation would contribute to strengthening friendly relations and expanding mutually beneficial partnership.
