President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday received Seychelles’ Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Barry Faure, with both sides highlighting strong potential for cooperation in the tourism sector and Ashgabat expressing readiness to consider concrete proposals from the Seychelles side, according to Turkmen state media.
The talks placed particular emphasis on cooperation within major international organizations, especially the United Nations. Berdimuhamedov expressed appreciation to Seychelles for supporting Turkmen initiatives and co-sponsoring several key UN General Assembly resolutions.
Trade and economic cooperation also featured in the discussions. Berdimuhamedov pointed to Turkmenistan’s export potential and identified priority sectors for cooperation, including energy, chemicals, textiles and agriculture. He also invited Seychelles partners to participate in international exhibitions and forums hosted in Turkmenistan.
Both sides expressed confidence in the continued development of friendly relations and exchanged wishes for further cooperation and prosperity.
