China’s Puyang Shengyuan Petrochemical Group plans to localize more than 20% of high-quality polycarbonate production in Turkmenistan, company President Wang Xichen said at the Turkmen-Chinese trade and economic forum held April 29 in Ashgabat, according to state media.
Wang said the company is prepared to implement large-scale strategic projects aimed at strengthening resource security and modernizing Turkmenistan’s industrial sector. The initiative includes technology transfer in the production of advanced polymers and environmentally friendly materials, integrated into the country’s industrial base.
The cooperation is expected to involve the adoption of modern environmental standards, the development of sustainable supply chains and the provision of technical support nationwide.
Wang said entering the Turkmen market is part of a long-term strategy focused on producing high value-added goods using locally sourced raw materials.
