Turkmen textile company Batly Gadam held talks with British retail brand Primark and signed a memorandum of cooperation with Somerbond during the UK–Turkmenistan B2B Trade Mission held in London on May 11–15, organizers said.
The delegation from Balkanabat visited Primark’s office, where representatives reviewed the retailer’s supplier requirements, quality standards and logistics processes. The memorandum signed with Somerbond formalized agreements on future partnership and created additional opportunities for the Turkmen manufacturer to enter the British market.
Earlier, Batly Gadam completed textile certification for the European market with the support of TurkmenExpo as part of the QACIS forum, enabling the company to begin direct negotiations with international retail chains.
The UK–Turkmenistan B2B Trade Mission was jointly organized by the West London Chambers of Commerce and TurkmenExpo with institutional support from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Kingdom and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
