Xi Jinping to Visit Turkmenistan

President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will make an official visit to Turkmenistan after accepting an invitation from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The invitation was extended by the Turkmen leader, and Xi Jinping responded with a formal letter of acceptance. The exchange was reported on Wednesday by official media in Turkmenistan.

Xi Jinping noted that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has been making long-term efforts to develop China–Turkmenistan relations and has contributed significantly to strengthening traditional friendship between the two countries, as well as advancing cooperation across multiple sectors, expressing high appreciation for these efforts.

The Chinese leader expressed gratitude for the invitation and confirmed readiness to visit Turkmenistan at a time convenient for both sides, adding that the foreign ministries of both countries could maintain close contact to coordinate the arrangements.

Xi Jinping expressed China's readiness to work jointly with Turkmenistan toward building new models of bilateral relations and to consistently enrich the China-Turkmenistan Community of Shared Future with new substance.

At present, cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China, based on the principles of mutual trust and equality, continues to deepen and gain new substantive content.
