The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States, Esen Aydogdyyev, held talks in Washington with Senator Steve Daines, during which the sides reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in political dialogue, trade and economic partnership, energy, and regional connectivity.
The sides also noted the importance of the C5+1 format in strengthening engagement between the United States and Central Asian countries, acknowledged the positive momentum in Turkmen-U.S. relations, and confirmed their readiness to continue mutually beneficial dialogue, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States.
In addition, Aydogdyyev met with Congressman Bill Huizenga. The talks focused on Turkmen-U.S. cooperation, regional connectivity, and the role of the C5+1 and B5+1 formats in developing partnership between Washington and Central Asian states.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on regional issues and outlined opportunities for further expansion of constructive and mutually beneficial dialogue.
