National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Monday received Chairman of the Board of Directors of Çalık Holding Ahmet Çalık and expressed condolences over the death of Mahmut Çalık, the father of the prominent Turkish businessman and a notable figure in Türkiye’s textile industry.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media, Ahmet Çalık expressed sincere gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the words of support.
During the meeting, Ahmet Çalık said the favorable conditions created by the state for foreign partners, particularly Turkish companies, are regarded as a sign of great respect, and presented a report on the activities of the company in Turkmenistan.
The report said construction continues on a large combined-cycle power plant on Turkmenistan’s Caspian Sea coast, as well as a new urea production complex in Turkmenbashi district of Balkan Province, where the foundation has already been laid.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the company is also participating in the modernization of the Presidential Ahalteke Horse Complex and stressed that ensuring high construction quality and completing projects on schedule are key requirements.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People said Turkmenistan supports the introduction of scientifically based, innovative and highly efficient solutions in all projects implemented in the country. Confidence was also expressed that Çalık Holding would continue to effectively implement new state and regionally significant projects by introducing advanced technologies and modern equipment.
Ahmet Çalık, in turn, said implementing major projects in Turkmenistan is a great honor for the company and assured that all assigned tasks would be carried out with a high level of responsibility.
The group of companies led by Ahmet Çalık is involved in the construction of major industrial and social facilities, as well as modern medical centers, in Turkmenistan.
