President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation (HEK), according to the Watan Habarlary news program.

Following the meeting, Yılmaz stated that the parties discussed the further development of bilateral relations and promising areas of cooperation between the two countries.

Particular attention was given to cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, trade, education, science and technology, as well as cultural and humanitarian affairs. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their partnership on the basis of mutual benefit.

The Turkish Vice President emphasized the importance of advancing Turkish-Turkmen relations amid growing global uncertainty and highlighted the role of cooperation between the two countries in promoting the unity and solidarity of the Turkic world.

As reported, Turkmenistan and Türkiye attach particular importance to international cooperation aimed at introducing the latest technological advancements across various sectors and consistently modernizing their economies. Taking into account the economic potential of both countries, the sides emphasized the need to discuss elevating cooperation in this area to a qualitatively new level. They also highlighted the significant role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation, the Business Council, and bilateral exhibitions in strengthening partnership relations
