President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Thursday signed a decree on the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan, as well as on granting them qualification ranks, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
According to the decree, Mekan Hummedov has been appointed judge of the Berkararlyk district court of Ashgabat and has been awarded the fifth qualification class of judge. Myahri Bagiyeva has been appointed judge for family cases of the Köpetdag district court of Ashgabat.
Aýjahan Ymamberdiýewa has been appointed judge of the Ahal velayat court and simultaneously included in the composition of the court’s presidium. She has been relieved of her previous position as judge of the Ak bugdaý district court. In addition, Muhammet Alyýew has been appointed judge of the Ak bugdaý district court, and Mekan Muhammetgurbanow has been appointed judge of the Babadayhan district court; both were also granted the fifth qualification class.
Şatlyk Kozyýew has been appointed judge of the Etrek district court of Balkan velayat, Orazmuhammet Saparmämmedow — judge of the Halaç district court of Lebap velayat, Söhbet Hojamyradow — judge of the Mary city court, and Jeýhun Annagulyýew — judge of the Tagtabazar district court of Mary velayat. All of them were also granted the fifth qualification class.
In addition, Maýsa Metgeldiýewa has been transferred to the position of judge for family cases of the Turkmenabat city court of Lebap velayat and has been relieved of her position as judge of the Turkmenabat city court.
According to the document, due to the expiration of their terms of office, the following judges have been dismissed: Leýla Kemalowa (Berkararlyk district court of Ashgabat), Dünýägözel Begjanowa (Ahal velayat court), Meýlis Öwezow (Balkanabat city court of Balkan velayat), and Öwez Esenow (Mary city court of Mary velayat).
On the same day, President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the State Security Council Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council summarizing the first five months of 2026. During the meeting, issues related to ensuring security and law and order in the country, improving the work of relevant structures, and strengthening their material and technical base were discussed, and a number of decisions were adopted.
