Turkmenistan Appoints Ambassador to the Maldives

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of India, Shalar Geldynazarov, at the same time appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Maldives. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov on June 10, according to Turkmenistan’s official media on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Turkmenistan Maria Agre, presented her credentials. Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, received the diplomat, congratulated on her appointment, and wished success in her further strengthening Turkmen-Finnish relations.

During the meeting, Maria Agre conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The parties exchanged views on various aspects of Turkmen-Finnish cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, particularly within the framework of the United Nations and other respected international organizations.

In his message to the President of Turkmenistan, Alexander Stubb highlighted Maria Agre’s professional qualifications and expressed confidence that she would make a valuable contribution to the further development of relations between Turkmenistan and Finland.
