Turkmen President Congratulates Russian Leadership on Russia Day

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulatory messages to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the people of Russia on the occasion of Russia Day, according to Turkmenistan’s official media on Friday.

In his congratulatory message noted, Turkmenistan and Russia are currently maintaining successful cooperation across a wide range of sectors. He also expressed confidence that Turkmen-Russian relations, which have a strategic character, will continue to develop dynamically for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.

Taking the opportunity, the Turkmen President wished Vladimir Putin and Mikhail Mishustin good health and happiness, and extended his wishes for prosperity and continued development to the Russian people.

Russia Day is celebrated annually on June 12. The holiday marks the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation in 1990 and is considered one of the country’s principal national holidays.
