The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to visit Azerbaijan on an official visit, where the two sides intend to sign several bilateral documents. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan, Gurbanmammet Elyasov, announced this at the international conference “Regional Contribution to Global Security: Peacebuilding in the South Caucasus” in Baku, Azerbaijan State News Agency AZERTAC reported on Monday.
According to the diplomat, several documents are expected to be signed during the visit. Elyasov noted that these documents will make an important contribution to the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries and the development of bilateral relations.
At the beginning of June, the President of Turkmenistan received Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and in May a meeting between Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov took place in Ashgabat.
Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan continue to expand cooperation in political, trade-economic, transport-logistics and cultural-humanitarian areas. The two countries regularly exchange visits and work to strengthen their partnership further.
