Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as part of his state visit to Azerbaijan, visited the cultural capital of the country, Shusha. During a tour of the city, Berdimuhamedov was presented with a Karabakh horse at Jidir Duzu as a sign of high respect, Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Arrival in Shusha, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited a newly built residential complex and reviewed the progress of construction work on the Shusha Mosque.

After inspecting the mosque, Presidents visited a photo exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev and Karabakh, toured historical and cultural sites in the city of Shusha.

During their visit to the city, the two leaders arrived at Jidir Duzu, where Azerbaijani horsemen staged a demonstration performance featuring Karabakh horses. Aliyev then gifted Berdimuhamedov a Karabakh horse.

According to the Turkmenistan’s official media, gift became a symbol of the enduring friendship between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
