Turkmen President Congratulates Farmers on 1.4M Tonne Harvest
Ceremony marking the delivery of more than 1.4 million tonnes of wheat to the state

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the country’s farmers and agricultural workers after they fulfilled their 2026 harvest obligations, delivering more than 1.4 million tonnes of wheat to state reserves, Turkmen state media reported.

In his congratulatory message, Head of the State stressed the achievement was the result of the dedicated work of farmers’ associations, private agricultural producers, machinery operators, scientists and other workers in the agricultural sector. He noted that the government would continue creating the necessary conditions to support productive work by grain growers.

The President highlighted, Turkmenistan is carrying out large-scale efforts to develop agriculture, increase crop yields and strengthen the sector’s technical capabilities. He added that farmers are being provided with modern agricultural machinery, mineral fertilizers and other essential resources.

According to the report, the country has grain receiving facilities, modern elevators, storage complexes and milling plants to collect, store and process wheat harvests. Research is also continuing to develop new wheat varieties and improve seed production to further increase yields.

At the end of his congratulatory message, President of Turkmenistan wished farmers, agricultural workers, combine operators and all those involved in the harvest good health, family prosperity and further success in their work.
