President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Georgia on Thursday for a two-day state visit, the Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
Georgian officials and members of the Turkmen delegation welcomed the Serdar Berdimuhamedov at Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport, which was decorated with the national flags of both countries.
During the visit, Berdimuhamedov to hold one-on-one and expanded-format talks with Georgia's leadership. A Turkmenistan–Georgia business forum and a mobile exhibition of products made in Turkmenistan are also planned. According to the report, the events are expected to give new momentum to bilateral trade and economic cooperation and further strengthen ties between the two countries' business communities.
Turkmenistan and Georgia established diplomatic relations on July 16, 1992. Bilateral cooperation has continued to expand through high-level visits and talks.
