Turkmenistan recorded the highest growth in exchange trade turnover with Belarus among CIS countries in the first half of 2026, with the figure reaching 360% of the level recorded in the same period of 2025, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) said on Thursday.
Tajikistan and Kazakhstan followed, with exchange trade turnover reaching 308% and 139%, compared with the same period in 2025.
The data was presented by BUCE Assistant Chairman of the Board Alexander Bashliy during a meeting with diplomatic representatives of CIS countries in Minsk. The event, organized with the support of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, focused on the development of cross-border trade through exchange mechanisms.
According to BUCE, about 70% of Belarusian exports through the exchange are directed to CIS markets. The most in-demand goods traded on the platform include powdered milk, butter, timber products, meat products, flax fiber, rapeseed oil and feed additives. The growth in trade has been accompanied by an increase in the number of participants, with more than 6,000 companies from CIS countries currently accredited on the BUCE platform.
Following the meeting, BUCE and diplomatic missions of CIS countries agreed to strengthen cooperation to inform business communities about opportunities provided by the exchange platform and expand the participation of foreign companies in trade with Belarusian enterprises.
