Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to congratulate him on his birthday, Turkmen state media reported on Friday.
During the call, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished Shavkat Mirziyoyev good health, long life, enduring strength and success in his state duties. He also conveyed birthday greetings and best wishes from Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the congratulations, kind wishes and the special attention given to strengthening bilateral cooperation. He said relations between the two countries have reached a high level, based on their longstanding friendship, mutual trust and understanding. He also asked Berdimuhamedov to convey his greetings and best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
"On such a special day, people speak of success, achievements, noble initiatives and future plans. You have all of these" Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. He added that Mirziyoyev's state policy has produced tangible results, enriching the lives of the Uzbek people and helping realize the country's significant spiritual, cultural and economic potential.
According to Turkmen state media President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent his heartfelt birthday congratulations and best wishes to President Mirziyoyev on the same day.
