During the Turkmen-Uzbek business forum in Ashgabat, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov said Uzbekistan is ready to expand cooperation with Turkmenistan in trade, economic and investment areas, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.

According to Alimov, relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are developing successfully at the level of strategic partnership. He also noted that more than 20 leading companies from both Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are participating in the forum.

The diplomat highlighted the industrial sector, particularly the production of construction and finishing materials, as one of the priority areas for cooperation.

During the forum, the sides expressed their intention to sign specific contracts in areas including metal structures, paint and coatings, sandwich panels, plastic and rubber products, as well as ferrous metallurgy. According to the report, these initiatives will provide additional momentum to strengthening long-term bilateral cooperation.
