A delegation from Tatarstan led by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev, arrived in Turkmenistan for a four-day working visit, the World Congress of Tatars reported on Tuesday.
During the visit, the delegation will travel to Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi. The program includes meetings at Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as talks with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova and Culture Minister Gurbanmyrat Muradaliyev.
The sides are expected to discuss prospects for joint projects in education, tourism and the preservation of historical heritage. The delegation will also visit the International Ahalteke Equestrian Sports Complex.
On July 30, the delegation will travel to Turkmenbashi for talks with the city's mayor Nyyazjan Nyyazjanov. The visitors will also tour the Avaza National Tourist Zone to explore its tourism potential.
The visit is scheduled to conclude on July 31.
