Baku will host the II International Conference of leading national think tanks from the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on September 16, 2026, Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication reported.
The event is organized by Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication and the Organization of Turkic States. The conference will focus on the theme “Strengthening Economic Cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States through Regular Consultations and Joint Research.”
The opening ceremony will feature speeches by Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration; Kubanychbek Omuraliev, secretary-general of the Organization of Turkic States and Vusal Gasimli, executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The conference will bring together heads of leading think tanks, government officials, academics, representatives of financial institutions and business communities from OTS member and observer states, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Discussions will cover the development of the Middle Corridor, economic integration, trade and investment, the digital economy, innovation, artificial intelligence and sustainable development.
