Turkmenistan’s State Migration Service has developed an “Online Registration System” to register foreign citizens at their places of stay, State Migration Service reported on Thursday.
The system was created as part of the modernization of provisions in Turkmenistan’s Law “On Migration” related to the registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons at their places of stay, extension of their stay periods and deregistration.
Through the new system, foreign citizens staying in Turkmenistan, as well as individuals and legal entities hosting them, will be able to register online without visiting migration service offices in person.
According to the statement, the “Online Registration System” will help save time, enable electronic document management and allow necessary procedures to be carried out within shorter periods and under a simplified process. The introduction of the system will contribute to improving the efficiency of the migration service and organizing its work in line with modern requirements.
