Turkmenistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova met on Friday with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Turkmenistan Kristin Hawkins. The sides discussed current issues of Turkmen-U.S. cooperation and prospects for further interaction in areas of mutual interest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to cooperation within the framework of international organizations, primarily the United Nations.
The sides also exchanged views on priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including the development of educational and sports contacts, as well as the implementation of joint projects and programs.
In addition, the interlocutors reviewed organizational issues related to upcoming joint events and confirmed their readiness to maintain regular dialogue and develop constructive cooperation on bilateral and multilateral agenda issues.
