Afghanistan Invites Turkmen Businesses to Explore Investment Opportunities

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) has invited Turkmen traders, industrialists and investors to visit Afghanistan as part of an economic delegation and explore investment opportunities in the country, ACCI reported on Sunday.

A delegation of ACCI leadership officials visited Turkmenistan at the official invitation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. During the visit, ACCI Deputy for Provincial Affairs Faiz Ahmad Khawafi met with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as Turkmen traders, industrialists and investors.

Khawafi emphasized the importance of joint investments and ventures, long-term contracts and practical economic projects as part of trade relations between the two countries. He also stressed the need to expand direct business-to-business contacts between companies of the two countries, increase exchanges of trade delegations and advance joint projects and invited Turkmen businesses to visit Afghanistan to pursue cooperation in these areas.

During the meeting, the Afghan side identified oil and gas, energy, industry, mining, agriculture, transportation, railways, transit, logistics and warehousing as key areas for private-sector cooperation.
