A Turkmen delegation participated August 12 in an international video conference attended by heads of chambers of commerce and industry from member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), where Turkmenistan’s transit and logistics capabilities in ensuring interregional connectivity were presented, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan reported Thursday.

During the online meeting, participants discussed prospects for economic cooperation among ECO member states, trade integration and interregional connectivity. They also exchanged views on increasing trade turnover and expanding the export potential of ECO member states.

The Turkmen side emphasized the importance of regularly holding joint exhibitions and business forums with the participation of entrepreneurs from ECO member states, which would help expand investment opportunities in the region. In this context, Turkmenistan reaffirmed its readiness to develop long-term and sustainable economic cooperation with ECO member states.

The meeting was described as an important platform for ensuring economic stability in the region and implementing new joint projects.
