January-July: Daşoguztelekom Installs 7,639 Phone Lines

Daşoguztelekom, the telecommunications enterprise in Turkmenistan’s Daşoguz province, installed 7,639 telephone lines in the first seven months of this year, including 1,287 in July alone, the Turkmenistan newspaper reported Wednesday.

The company is working to expand telecommunications services in districts, cities and rural areas, as well as install high-speed internet stations. A total of 16,447 telephone lines were installed across Daşoguz region last year.

The number of subscribers using the company’s telephone services in Daşoguz region has reached 127,520. Work is also continuing to expand access to high-speed internet services.

In July, 2,138 internet lines in the region were connected to the high-speed network. In the first seven months of the year, the number of lines connected to internet services reached 9,157, while the number of high-speed internet subscribers stood at 91,125.
