The elkitap app offers users e-books and audiobooks in five languages — Turkmen, Russian, English, Turkish and recently added German, the app's content manager Oleg Sandzhiyev told Business Turkmenistan during the KIDS EXPO: Everything for Children international trade fair in Ashgabat.
The domestic service was launched in January 2026. Today, the elkitap library contains about 15,000 books in various genres. Users can find foreign literature, psychology and business books, science fiction, and educational literature. For anime and comic lovers, new manga and comic series regularly appear in the app.
The elkitap app can be downloaded on both iOS and Android. According to Sandzhiyev, the number of users has already reached 12,000.
New users can use elkitap for free for seven days to get acquainted with the app's features. After the trial period, access to the service can be extended with a monthly subscription costing 35 manats.
