Four Turkmen designers and brands will participate in Who’s Next, an international professional fashion trade show in Paris on Sept. 5-7. They will present their work in the Ready-to-Wear section at stand W10, where fashion industry professionals can view their collections, the International Trade Centre reported on its official Instagram page.
The participants include Mukaddes Ibragimova, representatives of Binaym, Desert Heritage and AYM. Ibragimova will present corsets, jackets and trousers made from ikat fabrics, denim and embroidered silk. Desert Heritage will showcase handmade products made from silk, cotton, linen and camel wool and dyed with natural dyes.
AYM will present linen garments featuring hand embroidery inspired by the ancient city of Nisa. Binaym will showcase patchwork denim products, a technique associated with Turkmen handicraft traditions.
The participation of the Turkmen designers and brands is organized with support from the International Trade Centre and funded by the European Union. Their collections will be presented to an international audience, highlighting Turkmen textile traditions and contemporary design at the Paris edition of Who’s Next.
