South Korean Ambassador to Turkmenistan Lee Won-jae visited the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries on Aug. 26, where he reviewed the operations of production facilities and projects carried out by Korean companies operating in Turkmenistan, the Embassy of South Korea in Turkmenistan reported.
During the visit, Lee met with Turkmenbashy Oil Refinery Complex’s Director Dovran Chishliyev and representatives of Korean companies.
The sides discussed cooperation between South Korea and Turkmenistan in the oil refining sector and projects carried out by Korean companies in Turkmenistan. The ambassador thanked TCOR management for its support of Korean companies and asked that necessary assistance continue to be provided for the successful implementation of current projects. He also expressed hope that Korean companies would expand their participation in projects to modernize and provide technical maintenance for TCOR.
As part of the visit, the ambassador also met with representatives of Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology (KSIT) and Yuhan Tech. During the meeting, he reviewed the progress of the companies’ projects and discussed issues arising from their operations in Turkmenistan.
